Diamond Huff, age 64 of Athens formerly of Knott Co., KY passed away Wednesday in a Knoxville area hospital. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Mr. Huff was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Huff and Dallis Slone Huff and his son, Diamond Huff Jr. Survivors include children Glenn Russell Huff of Knott Co., KY, Debra Ann Huff of Wayland, KY, Peggy Sue (David) Prater of Niota, Donna Sue (Tim) Henson of Athens, Kelly Jean (Jeff) Allen of Wayland, KY, Kathy Jo (Michael) Vance of Wayland, KY; brothers and sisters Beva Lee Sparkman, Wayne Huff, Anna Jean Thornsbury, Ed Huff and Farrell Huff; grandchildren Christopher, Joshua, Kristy, Michael, Trevor, Jeffery, Evan, Timmy, Tara, Ashley, Tiffany and LaMika ; great grandchildren Christin, Hunter, Calie and Bryson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 16, 2010 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home of Etowah with Pastor Mark Lapham officiating. Interment will follow in the Huff Henson Cemetery with a white dove release.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 6 til 9.
