Carolyn Holly Loope
Carolyn Holly Loope, 64, of Etowah, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010. A native of Englewood, she was born April 9, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Loope; son, James Dale Hester; two brothers, Melvin Holcomb and Don Holcomb; father, Fines Holcomb; and two nephews, Anthony Evans and Shane Evans.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Moore of Etowah and Cheryl Willhoit and husband, Tom of Cleveland; two granddaughters, Bailey Moore and Taylor Willhoit; mother, Ida Roberts Holcomb of Etowah; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home of Etowah with the Reverend Mark Hensley officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at McMinn Memory Gardens with Tom Willhoit, Donnie Watson, Bud Barefield, Mark Cook, Donnie Vaughn and Maury Ragland serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Tennessee Christian Preparatory School, Annual Fund, 4995 North Lee Highway, Cleveland, TN, 37312.
